2006 BENCHMARK SHIRAZ £6.49 The 2006 Benchmark Shiraz is deep cherry and with vibrant youthful purple hues. The wine has intense aromas of plums, ripe strawberries and spice which is balanced with hints of raspberry and black cherry and a subtle earthy tone.
2005 BAROSSA VINES SHIRAZ £7.99 Deep cherry red with purple hues and complex aromas of blackberries, raspberries, dark cherries and black pepper, with subtle cedary oak and cured meat aromas in the background. The palate is soft and generous with flavours of fruit cake, spice, and vanilla oak and a long finish. This Barossan wine is ideal for everyday drinking and is an excellent accompaniment to a large range of foods including chargrilled steaks and casseroles through to hearty fish and chicken dishes.
2006 MIAMBIA SHIRAZ £10.99 Deep crimson and red, with rich, dark berries, liquor cherries and smoky oak on the nose. The dense fruit flavours carry through to the palate, combined with integrated vanilla oak characters. Soft, balanced tannins and good acidity provide great length, with a lingering flavour of subtle liquorice. This wine is drinking well now, and has a cellaring potential of 10 years.
