A railway in Dorset has revealed its plans for the festive season- which include the return of a popular train journey.
Swanage Railway will be returning with its Steam and Lights train this Christmas, a one-hour evening trip described as 'a memorable experience'.
It sees passengers take a one-hour evening trip in carriages festively decorated and covered in bright coloured lights.
Festive music is played on board and synchronised to stunning lighting displays, and on-train commentary keeps passengers informed throughout the trip.
Tickets for the Steam and Lights train are expected to go on sale at the end of the month, and the journeys will begin to run in early December.
Swanage Railway will also be welcoming back its dining trains, inviting passengers to enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch on board a classic steam train.
The trains depart Swanage station at 12.30pm before embarking on a three hour journey through the spectacular Purbeck countryside.
Onboard, there is a fully stocked bar, and even an option to pre-order some bubbly to make the occasion even more special.
Tickets for the Swanage Railway dining trains are already on sale, with the service set to start at the end of November.
