Yesterday I received my letter confirming that my application to join the Midnight Walk on August 30 had been accepted.
I was amazed to learn that Weymouth and Portland Council are allowing the participants to park in the car park behind the Pavilion for a small charge of £2.
Having read this I was confused - should I be grateful to the council for its generosity or disappointed that we are being charged at all.
One thousand ladies are walking either 6km or 10km to raise money for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust - at midnight.
It seems a shame that this event should also be funding the council.
