BE A CHAMPION AT THE BEIJING 2008 OLYMPIC GAMES WITH McDONALD'S AND NEWSQUEST

We've teamed up with McDonald's, official Beijing 2008 Olympic Games sponsor, to offer one lucky youngster and an adult the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Olympic experience.

James Cracknell, double Olympic gold medallist and McDonald's Director of Olympic Sports, is leading the search for a Champion Kid - a budding young sports reporter to head to Beijing this August and report directly from the world's biggest sporting event.

This is an amazing opportunity for one of our young readers whose reports, pictures, even videos will be published online for the world to read!

The winning youngster, who must be 10-14 years old, and a parent/guardian will be invited to be guests of McDonald's in Beijing. The youngster will attend Beijing 2008 Olympic Games events, take part in a sightseeing tour of Beijing and experience exclusive behind-the-scenes action.

But the prize package starts before Beijing because the winning McDonald's Champion Kid will also be invited to attend exclusive Olympic Games themed activities in Britain, including the chance to meet James Cracknell.

James said: "We're looking for children who are passionate about sport and journalism. What better way to combine the two than through the McDonald's Champion Kids competition where they will experience and report on the amazing Olympic Games."

For your chance to be the Champion Kid and head to Beijing this August you just need to tell us, in no more than 150 words about your favourite Olympic event, moment or athlete by filling in the entry form.

Competition closes May 16 2008.
