Kimmeridge Coastguard were called to reports of a boat leaning into the water with a potential person inside.
The team were paged at 8.14am on September 15 along with Poole Inshore Lifeboat to a sailing boat listing badly on Wareham river.
Reports stated that there could be a potential person on board that had been sighted inside the boat the previous day.

A Kimmeridge Coastguard spokesperson said: "With access difficult by ourselves to get on board, the lifeboat crew managed to climb inside and have a good look around confirming no persons injured or with medical episodes on board.
"Unfortunately with a big spring tide shortly afterwards the yacht took on water and capsized completely.
"The owner is aware and local authorities are regularly monitoring."
