TALENTED musicians fought it out in the first Battle of the Bands contest at Blandford School.
Seven bands took part in the show, with musicians aged between 12 and 18 performing a mixture of covers and their own songs.
But the winning band was One Rehearsal.
Lead singer Phoebe Court-Thomas, drummer Tom Wills, bassist Ollie Parker, and guitarists Matt Langford and Kieran Davidson received the winner's trophy from Becky Mutimer, head of performing and creative arts.
Runners up were //feedback with Sophie Pitman on vocals, Eduard Mead on keyboards, Jake Kisbee on guitar and Elias Mead on drums.
Other bands featured in the show were Perfect-in-Perfection, The Warning Colours, Undecided, &%$£ and Celsus.
Event organiser and music teacher Dan Pardy said: "This is the first time we have organised a Battle of the Bands competition.
"It was a great success and will definitely become a regular feature of the school's music calendar in the future."
