The Mayor of Dorchester has paid tributes to Her Majesty the Queen saying her legacy would be felt throughout the town.
Councillor Janet Hewitt, Mayor of Dorchester, said she Queen Elizabeth 'made a lasting impression' and said: "We must thank her for a glorious reign of 70 years. She has given us so many things that will leave us Great Britain and the commonwealth fully enriched, enhanced and she herself has made a huge difference.
"The Queen was loved all over the world and meant so much to so many."
"We will remember her for her warmth and dedication to the British people throughout her 70 years on the throne.
"We the people in Dorchester have been very honoured that she has visited our town on many occasions.
"She has made a lasting impression on our wonderful County Town and our surrounding countryside."
