Dorset's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- A31, from 9pm July 19 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Lake Gates to Roundhouse, carriageway closure for drainage work, diversion via local authority network.
- A31, from 9pm May 6 to 6am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Bere Regis to Roundhouse, carriageway closure for vegetation clearance, diversion via local authority network.
- A31, from 9pm May 31 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 westbound, Palmersford to Ameysford, carriageway closure for barrier works, diversion via local authority network.
- A35, from 6am April 16 2019 to 6am December 16 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): Third party works - Dorset VIP - traffic signals and speed limit - A35 Winterbourne Abbas.
- A31, from 8pm September 20 2021 to 6am December 21 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Ringwood to Ashley Heath, carriageway closures for major projects, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:
- A31, from 10pm September 1 to 6am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Vermin Lane to The Street, Two-Way temporary traffic lights for Scottish and Southern Power Distribution works.
- A31, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, Palmesford to Canford Bottom, diversion route for Dorset Council works.
- A31, from 2pm to 5pm on September 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 Both directions full closure of West Moors exit and entry slips with diversions, closures required to allow Tour of Britain to pass over A31.
- A35, from 8pm September 12 to 6am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A35 Bridport to Dorchester - Full closure - additional asset works and periodic works - nights.
- A35, from 8pm September 12 to 6am November 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A35 Honiton to Axminster - Full closure - Additional asset works and periodic works - nights.
