A BEACH was closed this morning while emergency services attended a concern for welfare incident.
Police, coastguards and paramedics were called at around 9.38am this morning following reports of concern for the welfare of a man on a cliff at Charmouth beach.
The man has been brought to safety and was taken to receive the appropriate care.
Charmouth beach was reopened at 11.45am.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 9.38am on Friday 26 August 2022 raising concern for the welfare of a man on a cliff at Charmouth beach. Officers attended with the coastguard and ambulance services. The man was brought to safety at around 11.45am and taken to receive the appropriate care.
"The beach was closed during the incident, it reopened at around 11.45am."
