A new bus stop sign has been unveiled at a village in Dorset.
Much to the delight of locals, a new sign has been installed the sign in Forston.
One local said it had “puzzled” them that for “over 15 years” it appeared that there was no bus stop in Forston, and no village notice board either.
South West Coaches’ website showed no stopping place in Forston but David Eadon, Services Support Administrator, agreed to install a sign and timetable if a suitable post could be erected.
Gill Reese, a resident, said: “As it happened, there was a post already for the Dorset Wildlife Trust's HQ at Brooklands farm. DWT were more than happy to oblige as better awareness of the service might encourage some of their own staff to travel by bus instead of cars.
"Forston now has its rightful bus stop.”
