A MAN who was issued a community protection notice ordering him to not be intoxicated in a public place been sentenced for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
Lee James Dolbear, whose address was given as Chickerell Road in Weymouth, appeared at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 5.
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of failing to comply with a community protection notice and one count of drunk and disorderly behaviour in a public place.
The charges relate to an incident which took place on Maiden Street in Weymouth on July 15 this year in which Dolbear was drunk and disorderly and failed to comply with a community protection notice which had been issued to him directing him "Not to be intoxicated in any place to which the public has access in Weymouth".
Dolbear was given a 6-month conditional discharge for the offences and must pay a £26 victim surcharge.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
