Firefighters were called to after an abandoned campfire had started to spread.
Dorchester Fire Station was called yesterday morning (August 7) to the fire off Herringston Road, Dorchester.
The crew extinguished the small blaze using a knapsack and buckets of water but a thermal imaging camera highlighted multiple hot spots deeper in the undergrowth.
The hose reel was extended to 120m and firefighters damped down the entire area.
