The school holidays have arrived accompanied by the prospect of some sunny weather – what better time to hit the beach.

Just in time for a summer on the sand, a study by Parkdean Resorts has revealed the top 12 beaches in England according to TikTok.

Analysing data from the popular social media platform, they discovered the most hash-tagged and viewed beaches, uncovering the most well-liked coastal locations.

Top 12 beaches in England according to TikTok

Coming out on top was pebble beach Brighton with a whopping 54.2 million views on TikTok.

Although missing out on the number one slot, Dorset fared well in the list, boasting four separate locations among the top 12, with Weymouth, West Bay, Bournemouth and Sandbanks Harbour beaches all featuring.

Three Kent beaches – Palm Bay Beach, Herne Bay and Botany Bay – also made it onto the list, as well as Carbis Bay Beach and Porth Joke Beach in Cornwall.

Weymouth Beach

With its award-winning sandy beach, Weymouth is well equipped for the children’s summer holidays with a free summer entertainment programme running from July to August. The beach clearly has stunning views too, with TikTok users watching Weymouth Beach content 42.9m times.

West Bay

Ranked on TikTok as the third most popular beach in England, it is one of the best for coastal walks, fishing and scuba diving with 17.3m views!

Bournemouth Beach

Bournemouth Beach is one of the best beaches for family days out with their LV = Kidzone scheme to keep children occupied over the holidays. There is also the option to book a beach hut which has helped the beach hit 12.2m views on TikTok!

Sandbanks Harbour Beach

With the average Sandbanks property priced at more than £1.3 million, it is most certainly a hotspot to visit this summer with its beautiful sandy beaches achieving hits more than 7.5 million views – you might even spot a few celebrities on your visit!
