A MAN who was clocked speeding at 94mph along a 50mph stretch of dual carriageway has received a driving ban.
Anthony Peter Mason, aged 61, was at the wheel of a 2017 registration plate Lexus on the A3049 Dorset Way on November 25 last year when he was recorded travelling at 94mph.
Mason, whose address was given as Queen’s Park Avenue, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to an allegation of speeding through the single justice procedure.
The defendant was present at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on July 26.
He was fined £666 and ordered to pay a £66 surcharge and £110 costs.
Mason received a discretionary disqualification which banned him from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 40 days.
