A CAR was seized as as part of an eventful evening for Dorchester's traffic cops.

Officers were responding to reports of a broken down vehicle on the A37 when they found it had actually lost a wheel due to poor maintenance. The car was seized for further inspection.

Another driver was successfully located and issued with a summons for a court appearance after “his absence made it difficult to continue proceedings”.

A van was stopped by officers on the A35 for a loud exhaust. The vehicle was found to be devoid of a silencer and with steering which couldn't be secured from movement. The driver was reported and a prohibition issued for immediate repairs before use.
