Police were called to reports of a burglary
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a till and money were taken from a Weymouth property.
Police officers received a report of a burglary in the Park District area of the town shortly before 4.30pm yesterday.
Within three minutes of the call, officers had located and arrested a male on suspicion of burglary.
Cash, a till and other items which are believed to have been taken from the burglary were also recovered.
A 43 year-old local male remains in police custody and enquires continue.
Weymouth and Portland police officers say: "Many thanks to the members of public who assisted officers."
