LYME Regis RNLI was called out late last night following concerns over a 14 year old paddleboarder.
A lifeboat launched at 8.45pm after a report that the teenager was missing in the West Bay harbour area.
Coastguards asked the volunteer lifeboat crew to conduct a search but at 8.55pm the youth was found ashore safe and well.
The crew were stood down and returned to Lyme Regis at 9.12pm.
