A MAN has been taken to hospital after a crash in Melplash.
The A3066 was closed in both directions yesterday, July 14, due to the collision near Twinways Lane.
The male driver of the vehicle was extracted from the car by the fire service using hydraulic cutting equipment.
He was subsequently taken to hospital.
Police first received reports of the crash at 6.50am with roads re-opening shortly after 9am.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service: "We were called at 6.50am today with reports of an RTC on the A3066 Beaminster Road. Crews from Beaminster and Bridport were mobilised to the incident and on arrival found one vehicle had hit a parked car.
"Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to release one person who was then handed over to ambulance crews. The stop message came through at 7.34am and they left the scene around 8.10am"
