Dorset homes are "desperately" needed to bring Ukrainian families to safety.
With the war ongoing, a call has been issued to Dorset homes to offer a place for Ukrainians fleeing the country.
Andre and Sue, who took a refugee into their home in May, have offered assurance that there is a "good support system" in place for hosts in Dorset.
The pair were interested in hosting and went through a few different channels before connecting with Anastasia, a Ukrainian who has been living in Bournemouth for the last ten years.
She connected them with Elena, from Odessa, one of many fleeing her home city.
Andre said: "An important thing I feel, is that you are not alone, there is a good support network locally with other hosts who have been through the process and this has been very important in helping us organise everything, there is a whole community involved.
"For all the Ukrainian families here a good support system has developed locally that has helped everyone connect too, a good network of hosts and guests makes everything so much easier for everyone."
