POLICE are investigating anti-social behaviour after 'offensive graffiti' was spray painted on a recreation ground.
Officers were called to Sturminster Newton earlier this month, between June 12 to June 19, following reports of damage to a bus stop and toilets in Station Road.
Police also said offensive graffiti was written on the skate bowls at Rixon Recreation Ground.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "Between (Sunday) June 12 to June 19, there was an increase in anti-social behaviour at the bus stop and toilets in Station Road, which have been targeted.
"The CCTV camera has been sprayed with paint, the toilets have been vandalised, a light fitting has been damaged, and objects have been placed in toilet cubicles which included a large yellow road sign.
"Various objects including cans were placed in the toilet bowls and the baby-changing unit has also been targeted.
"Also, offensive graffiti was written on the skate bowl at Rixon Recreation Ground. This has since been removed by Sturminster Newton Town Council.
