A MAN has admitted to stealing a charity collection box.
Michael Andrew Tambling, aged 51, whose address was given as Dorchester Road in Weymouth, appeared in Weymouth Magistrates' Court on June 20.
He admitted attempting to steal a man's electric bike in Weymouth on May 2 this year. He had previously pleaded not guilty to this charge, but changed his plea at the most recent hearing.
He also admitted stealing a Red Cross charity box from Nationwide on St Mary Street, Weymouth on May 13.
Tambling's case was adjourned to September 1 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
He was released on conditional bail and must not contact, directly or indirectly, the victim he attempted to steal the bike from and must not enter the Lodmoor Hill area in Weymouth.
