A KITE surfer reportedly had their surfing board stolen whilst they were being rescued by the RNLI.
Weymouth & Portland Police is appealing for information following the suspected theft that took place between 6.05pm and 6.20pm on Tuesday, May 31.
The kite surfer had got into difficulty out on the water near to Portland Beach Road and was rescued by the RNLI.
The man's distinctive Rastafarian coloured board - a 2016 Slingshot Dwarf Craft 54-inch foil - washed up on rocks nearby and two men were reportedly seen walking off with it as the owner was being assisted by the RNLI.
Officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident and are appealing to anyone who witness what happened, or who has any information relating to the whereabouts of the board, to please get in touch.
