DORSET is the 'happiest place to live in the United Kingdom', according to a new study.
According to research by money app glintpay, Dorset scores a 'happy' rating of 7.8 out of 10 making it the happiest region in the country.
The score was calculated using ONS data on life satisfaction, life expectancy, average salaries, crime rates and the average cost of land and property.
Those living in Dorset do, however, have face some of the highest costs with ONS data suggesting the average per square foot of Dorset property and land would set individuals back £333.63.
The next happiest location is East Riding with Bristolians said to be the least happiest of the lot.
