I’m sure many local voters are wondering on which side of the fence our elected MP is sitting – has he consulted his electorate or does he hope his loyalty will be rewarded by the PM regardless now that he has seen the evidence?
So far we have seen the Gray report – watered down at the insistence of civil servants - a half hearted investigation of some of the events by the Met and now we wait for the report from the Privileges Committee?
The law was broken, the PM had taken full responsibility, what more evidence is needed?
General Elections are good times to hold representatives and governments to account and voters have long memories. As they partied in Westminster, not once but many times, the rest of the country followed the rules.
Many of us were unable to say goodbye to friends and relatives, our loved ones died alone, were buried in solitary grace.
Care homes obeyed the rules with visiting denied while the Offices of State echoed to the sound of karaoke machines.
It would be nice to know the MP’s verdict.
