Dorset Police were called at 4.10pm on Monday June 6 to a report of a crash involving a white Peugeot 2008 and a red Volkswagen Golf on the A354 at the Thickthorn Cross junction.
The driver of the Volkswagen – a local man aged in his 40s – sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The driver of the Peugeot was treated at the scene by the ambulance service.
Now police officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and witnessed the collision, or manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the incident, to please get in touch.
“I would also urge any motorists who have a dashcam fitted in their vehicles to please check for any relevant footage to help my enquiries.”
