After a wait of three years the lively sound of folk music has once again returned to Weymouth, being held alongside the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

It kicked off in earnest with a rousing session at the Sailors Return pub on Friday night and sessions continued on Saturday at local venues.

The dance programme on Saturday saw morris sides dance the day through - groups on the seafront moved to St Mary Street and the Maypole site near HSBC due to strong winds.

Dancing continues again today on the quayside starting at 11am.

Music on the stage in Hope Square starts at 11am today and goes on throughout the afternoon.

The Wight Hot Pipes will bring a lively finish to Sunday’s music on the stage in Hope Square just before the Ceilidh in the Square.
