After an absence of two years due to the pandemic, the 12th annual Bridport sponsored Musicathon will take place once again on Saturday, June 11.
Organisers say it will be raising funds for two worthy charities – Weldmar Hospicecare, which provides specialist end-of-life care for people living in Dorset and the Richard Ely Trust for Young Musicians, which supports Dorset young people with their musical studies.
Throughout the day there will be vocal and instrumental performances in Bridport United Church, East Street, and people are invited to come in to be part of the audience. In the church hall there will be a coffee morning from 10am to noon, with a cake stall, a raffle and a Weldmar craft stall. Light lunches will be served from noon and tea/cake during the afternoon.
In Bucky Doo Square there will be music from 10am to 12.30pm and a charity stall organised by Roz Copson, all raising funds to support the two charities.
Anyone who wishes to perform in one of the venues should call 01308 427851 or 01308 456297 for Bridport United Church performances and 01308 424103 for Bucky Doo Square performances.
