Dorchester Arts is gearing up to make a splash when they host ‘In The Weeds’ later this month.
The production, performed by An Tobar and Mull Theatre Company, explores the story of a Japanese marine biologist called Kazumi. The story, written by Joseph Wilder, follows Kazumi’s ‘quest to find the sea creature behind a family tragedy’.

Among the unusual props requested by the theatre company are a 50m hose, two 35 litre hot water urns, universal tap adapters and access to a drain! The play is even partly performed in a pool filled with 450 litres of water - something that provides a unique challenge for Dorchester’s Corn Exchange.
Mark Tattersall, Artistic Director at Dorchester Arts said: "We like to push boundaries, and In The Weeds is performed in and out of (hopefully warm!) water. We are delighted to welcome An Tobar and Mull Theatre to Dorset for this special play by award-winning playwright Joseph Wilde, a gothic thriller about who gets to claim ownership of the land we all live on."
The performance will take place for one night only on Wednesday, June 15th from 8pm at the Dorchester Corn Exchange. Tickets are £14 or £12 for members of Dorchester Arts, under-18s or those on low income.
