HOMEOWNERS across Dorset are being warned about the most expensive appliances amid the cost of living crisis.
As the cost of living crisis is causing families to choose between eating or cutting down on energy bills, MoneyTransfers.com has looked at the 10 most expensive appliances to run at home.
According to the study, air conditioners are the most expensive - using current energy prices of £0.28 per Kilowatt Hour (kWh), while electric heaters, tumble dryers and washing machines come in behind.
Jonathan Merry, chief executive of MoneyTransfers.com, said: "The cost of living crisis and increased price cap on energy bills is an issue affecting families across the country.
"Our research shows that combined, many of these appliances simply cost too much to run simultaneously under current energy tariffs."
At the bottom of the list are light bulbs - assuming it's used for four hours a day - at just £2.02 each month.
The beloved kettle is number six on the list and does not actually use as much energy as many Brits would have thought.
