'GOOD times guaranteed for all' is the promise from organisers ahead of a three-night concert boasting a line-up of hit makers from the 80s, 90s and more.
Eurovision legends and chart toppers of years gone by will provide the soundtrack for this weekend's Upton House Concerts, a music festival on the historic grounds of a Grade II Georgian mansion in Poole.
Headlined by Britpop heroes Space, the bill also includes former Eurovision winner Katrina, 80s favourites Doctor and the Medics, Spandau Ballet legend Martin Kemp, as well as a range of tribute acts and DJs in a weekend of music on the lawn of Upton House.
"It's going to be great like us, all the acts are really excited to be kicking off festival season and Jubilee week in a fantastic location," said festival director Ben Dyas.
"We've had some brilliant messages of support so we know people are well and truly ready to pack a picnic, get together, and let their hair down. That's why we've held our opening offer to make this weekend as accessible as possible for as many people as possible."
Visitors will be treated to well-stocked bars and refreshment stalls serving hot food. Audiences are advised to bring blankets or camping chairs to sit on.
The weekend kicks off on Friday May 27 with 'Legends Night', a programme of tributes to Queen, the Rolling Stones and Amy Winehouse; followed by 'Britpop Forever' on Saturday headlined by Space with support from Stone Roses, Stereophonics, Oasis, Blur and Pulp tributes; and closing on Sunday with 'Ultimate 80s' in the company of Katrina (of the Waves fame), Doctor and the Medics, Sonia and a Fleetwood Mac tribute, as well as DJ sets from Martin Kemp.
Also attending will be radio and TV star Pat Sharp.
Organisers are offering a two adult three-day weekend ticket deal for £80 as well as several other package deals. Tickets can be purchased on the gate subject to availability as the event is expected to sell out. Booking in advance is recommended.
On-site parking is bookable in advance and gates open at 4pm on Friday, noon on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.
