Small businesses are being invited to attend a conference which aims to encourage apprenticeships and tackle recruitment challenges.
The free event aims to change the perception of apprenticeships and display the benefits that they can bring both long and short term.
Expert speakers with direct experience will provide insight to help demystify the process with the aim of increasing the number and quality of apprenticeships offered in Dorset.
The Apprenticeships 2.0 conference is being hosted by Dorset Careers Hub and takes place on June 29 at the RNLI College in Poole from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
The event is free of charge and available to 50 business delegates from across Dorset.
Rebecca Philips, Strategic Lead for Dorset Careers Hub said: “Apprentices are a really great recruitment option for small businesses and provide an exciting pathway for local young people looking to embark on a promising career.
"We're focused on dispelling outmoded negative perceptions and changing the way that students feel about the amazing range of 'earn-while-you-learn' opportunities.
"We have some expert speakers who have benefited massively from the scheme and who will be on hand to help others understand the process from both an employer and applicant perspective.
"We’re really pleased to be able to host the event free of charge and in the stunning facilities of the RNLI"
