THERE were 17 more Covid-19 deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Dorset.
The dashboard shows 819 people had died in the Dorsert Council area from today (Thursday, May 5) - up from 810 yesterday.
While there were eight more coronavirus deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP).
The dashboard shows 1,105 people had died in the BCP area by May 5 (Thursday) – up from 1,097 on Wednesday.
They were among 10,692 deaths recorded across the southwest.
The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Dorset.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
A total of 153,021 deaths were recorded throughout England from today – up from 152,628 yesterday.
Deaths reported today for England include a backlog that weren't reported on May 4 due to a technical issue.
