APPROVAL has been given to a sheep’s cheese business on Blandford’s Sunrise Business Park.
Dorset Council has agreed a planning request for the conversion of a previous bathroom showroom to the manufacture of organic sheep’s cheese.
The application for unit 4A, which has a floor space of 140square metres, was submitted by Mr Crispin Tweddell of Woodlands Dairy. It says that the unit has been vacant since December 2020.
A layout plan with the documents shows a production area with a cheese vat, almost a third of the building on the ground floor to be used as storage, with other areas for cutting and packaging.
Most of the first floor of the building would be used for storage and a small office.
The existing six parking spaces would remain.
