POLICE have released a shocking video of a crash which left a motorcyclist with seven broken rips and a broken scapula.
A woman was fined for driving without dure care and attention following a crash on the A350 in Shaftesbury.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 6.05pm on Tuesday, August 10 to a collision between two vehicles and a motorcycle on the A350 in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
“A 23-year-old female from Wiltshire who was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle was taken to Salisbury Hospital with shoulder injuries.
“It was later confirmed the victim received seven broken ribs, a broken scapula, ruptured liver and a collapsed lung.
“A 28-year-old female from Wiltshire who was driving a black Land Rover Freelander received a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates Court on February 15.
“She did not attend but was convicted in her absence for driving without due care and received a fine of £440, victim surcharge of £44, costs of £110 and five penalty points.”
The force released the video to urge drivers to “think bike” and “work together to keep all road users safe”.
