Dorchester Lions Club is holding a Family Fun Day on the Great Field in Poundbury on Sunday, May 8 from 12 noon to 4pm.

People will be able to enjoy a barbecue and ice creams.

The line up will also includes Juggling Jake, Bugfest, birds from Xtreme Falconry with static displays and two 30 minute flying displays.

And for those who love Christmas there's a chance to meet Summertime Santa and for people to try their luck on the coconut shy or try their hand at wellie whanging and knob throwing courtesy of Gary Spracklen, headmaster of Prince of Wales School.

There will also be charity stalls, a display by Dorchester Ballet and Dance Club and a raffle. Community radio station Keep 106 will be there.
