Weymouth Pavilion
Welcome back WOW members, we have missed you and it is so good to see how you have spent so much spent time working on this new production of a much-loved show.
A packed house greeted the large cast of teenagers who brought to sparkling life this story of school-age love as they sang and danced their way through the evening, with hits such as You're the one That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted to You and Greased Lightning.
Leading the cast of 26 teenagers were half a dozen boys with Isaac Bates as Danny while Ben Cecil and Charlie Vaughan were keeping up the pace. A large number of girls, all in pretty 1950s dresses, were led by Lilli Kenway, Imogen Rogers and Corey Farwell, the whole troupe of students creating an atmosphere of joy and laughter throughout the performance.
With director Martine Burt keeping the young people on the right track and musical director Heather Reed in charge of the small and talented orchestra, this was always going to be a huge success and the capacity audience clearly loved every moment of this sensational show.
In November the WOW group will be putting on a trip, down memory lane production to celebrate 40 years of making music. We can hardly wait.
