DORSET has been named as one of the worst places across the country for electric car charging points.
According to electric car experts Electrifying.com, holidaymakers hoping to visit popular UK destinations including Dorset, Durham and the Lake District, may struggle to charge their electric cars, as statistics show that there are more than double the amount of charge points in Westminster than in all three of these areas combined.
This news comes ahead of the bank holiday weekend, where roads up and down the country are typically busier than normal. It is also likely that queues will be forming at public charging points on popular tourist routes.
Dorset is listed as the worst county in the country for electric charge points, with only 153, while Durham is second worst with 191, and Cumbria third worst with 313.
Counties among the top 10 for public charge points are Westminster, topping the list with 1,147, with Warwickshire is second with 671 and East Sussex with 520.
