A GROUP of youths are reported to have been tearing out pages of the Bible and sticking gum inside in a series of anti-social behaviour incidents at Sherborne Abbey.
Police have said that four or five youths have also been spotted interfering with candles and spreading salsa across various items inside.
A spokesperson for Sherborne Police: “There have been reported incidents of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage at Sherborne Abbey.
“On these occasions, a group of four or five youths have been seen to enter the Abbey, tear pages out of a Bible and put chewing gum between the pages.
“They also interfered with candles and spread burger salsa over various items in the Abbey.”
