- The Dorset Close Centre resumed club activities after the Christmas and New Year break but until their AGM which is usually the first week in March they are just sticking to the bingo sessions.
Some youngsters from the Westham Youth Forum went to two of the bingo nights, which gave the members a chance to get to know them and they were very pleased to meet them.
The fish & chip lunches on Wednesday are continuing followed by a hilarious game of bingo.
The Thursday lunches are proving very popular and well attended.
The members are still hoping to attract more people to their club and they say that they do not have to be pensioners.
They do need younger people with more modern ideas to help keep them up to date, mums are welcome to bring their children.
- If you are interested in helping COPs (Westham Community Group) plan and stage the Westham 125th birthday party, to be held on Saturday, April 26 on the Conifers School grounds, you are invited to a meeting at Conifers School on Thursday February 7.
