Sainsbury's in Weymouth has informed motorists it is only providing fuel for emergency services for the foreseeable future.

The fuel station, in Mercery Road, has had a sign displayed at the entrance since yesterday morning (April 2) stating motorists will not be able to fill up their vehicles at any of the pumps.

The pumps are only accessible for 'emergency services'.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "The pumps at Weymouth petrol filling station are temporarily closed.

"We’ll reopen the pumps again as soon as possible and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may cause."
