TWO men are reported to have attempted to burgle a church in west Dorset yesterday evening.
It is alleged two males pulled up in a white van outside of Corscombe Church and attempted to burgle the site on Friday, March 25.
A spokesperson for Bridport Police said: “Between 7pm and 7.30pm last night there was an attempted burglary at Corscombe Church.
“A white transit panel van was seen to arrive at the church with two males inside.
“A light in the church was activated and on inspection by a member of public, doors inside that should have been locked were open, as was a draw.
“Nothing at this time appears to have been stolen, but please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us on 101, or call 999 if you believe a crime is in progress.”
