A DORSET charity is holding a family party and fundraising event this weekend in Dorchester - with plenty of prizes up for grabs.
Shine 21, run by Tara Gool and Liz Chilton, will be hosting the event at Dorchester Youth and Community Centre between 6.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday, March 19.
The charity is a Dorset organisation dedicated to helping children with Down's Syndrome, as well as their families.
Saturday’s event coincides with celebrating World Down’s Syndrome Day, which falls on the following Monday, with the team having a big party to mark the occasion.
The event is open to anyone who has or knows someone with the condition, and on the day there will be a big raffle to raise money for the charity.
Organisers say local businesses have been brilliant in providing a plethora of prizes for a raffle from baskets of gifts, to restaurant vouchers and even a weekend away.
There will also be a bouncy castle and disco on the day, in addition to refreshments.
