A NUMBER of household items including lamps and rugs are reported to have been stolen from a furniture shop, as police ask anyone with any information to come forward.
Officers are investigating the alleged burglary in Shaftesbury and have issued images of some of the items reported to be stolen.
Dorset Police confirmed they received a report at 4.45am on Tuesday March 8 of a burglary at a furniture shop in Salisbury Street.
A spokesman for the force said: “It is reported that the front door was forced open and a number of household items were stolen, including lamps and a rug.
“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, but the offender was not located.”
Police Constable James Owen, of North Dorset police, added: “I am carrying out enquiries into this incident and would urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please get in touch.
“I am issuing images of some of the stolen items in the hope someone may recognise them.
“If you have seen any of the items pictured for sale locally in unusual circumstances, please contact Dorset Police.”
