On Saturday in Bridport and Sunday in West Bay, members of the two clubs based in this area were delighted with the generous response to street collections.
A total of £4,700 was donated and this money will be added to that from Rotary clubs around the world including Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Moldova, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Our immediate need is to support local services for the sick, injured and hungry people.
Rotary members placed at the borders are providing essential supplies and shelter.
In the longer term provision of home education for the children, and ongoing medical assistance for physical and mental health will have to be provided.
We simply cannot wish it away.
As well as supporting this and other overseas projects we continue as always to support with local community groups and charities. If you wish to learn of what else we do look up Rotary on the web.
You will be amazed at what we do - and you could be part of it!
