Weymouth & Portland Lions Club, together with many other clubs throughout the United Kingdom, has made a £500 donation from local funds towards the Ukrainian Refugee Appeal, which was launched by Lions Clubs International (LCIF) British Isles.
All funds received will be given out as grants by LCIF to Lions clubs in the receiving countries, including Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova for the Ukrainian refugees.
After all, it is they who are very much aware of what is needed to assist these people who are fleeing to safety.
If you would like to help by adding to our club’s donation, please make cheques payable to “Weymouth & Portland Lions Club” and post or deliver them to our registered office at the Hotel Rembrandt, 12–18 Dorchester Road, Weymouth DT4 7JU, and we will ensure that every penny of your donation is sent to LCIF.
Or you could donate direct to LCIF at, www.local-lions.org/ukraine-crisis-appeal
