A warning to anyone who has a persistent urinary infection that refuses to go away, despite treatment with various medications.
Please don’t wait and think it will go away.
Ask your GP to refer you to the urology team.
I had what I and my GP thought was a persistent urine infection that just wouldn’t go away and needed to find the right meditation to cure it.
This followed passing two bladder stones just weeks apart. My GP referred me to urology who then popped a camera in my bladder and discovered that I had cancer of the bladder.
Worse than this it has pushed through the wall of my bladder which means that I am now having chemotherapy and require very extensive and life threatening surgery to cure this.
I had no pain, just cloudy urine with a nasty odour and never even suspected that I might have cancer. So please if you’re unsure please get it checked. The camera into the bladder is not painful and could save your life.
