ALBATROSSES are rarer than hen's teeth in local golfing circles.
So, when Came Down's Tony Howe registered the incredible feat he was understandably delighted.
Howe, Came Down’s club captain in 2015, achieved the albatross – a score of three under par on one hole – on the par-four 17th.
Using a driver off the tee on the hole named 'Polly's Pit', his shot picked a path onto the green, surrounded by a large pit to the right and rough to the left, before dropping into the cup.
Elsewhere, the monthly stableford was played in very difficult conditions with gusty winds and rain.

Howe took victory in Division One ahead of Gary Prudames and Mark Osborne in third.
Division Two winner was Adam Paul, ahead of George Townsend and third-placed Andy Lawes.
Darren Pocock claimed Division Three honours ahead of Sam Green in second and Jon Samways.
