RUNNERS from far and wide will descend on Dorset this Sunday for the return of the popular Weymouth Bay 10k.
Around 250 athletes are expected to take to the start line as the MCC Promotions 10K Run Series continues.
Crawley’s Dan Short last year beat 200 competitors to claim victory in 36 minutes, 16 seconds amid tricky conditions as a strong wind hampered participants.
Runners will negotiate 122m plus two laps around Bowleaze Green before heading out onto the long part of the course along the Esplanade.
Rounding the turn at the water point, the athletes will then retrace their steps to the finish at Overcombe Corner, 100m before the Oasis Cafe.
