A POPULAR initiative to support armed forces veterans, their families and loved ones in Bridport has returned after a two-year break due to Covid.

The Bridport Veterans Breakfast Club has started meeting up again, with the first gathering held in January.

The club, which meets from 9am-11am at The Greyhound (JD Wetherspoon), is open to all military veterans and their relatives.

A spokesman said: "By kind agreement with the landlord, a portion of the dining room was set aside for an eclectic group of RNA, ABF and RAFA diners.

"Veteran gatherings provide a wonderful opportunity for like-minded individuals to gather on a monthly basis, and countrywide provide a functional means of delivering welfare in the community."

The next breakfast meeting will be held on Sunday, February 13, 9am to 11am, at The Greyhound. All Services are welcome
