A make-up artist's creative skill has won her a top prize in national wedding awards.

Hayley De Beers of Thorncombe has been awarded best Beauty, Hair & Make Up in the Hitched Wedding Awards 2022 for the South West.

Couples using the wedding planning website Hitched choose the winners of the awards which highlight those wedding businesses that have provided exceptional quality of work and customer service.

This award recognises Hayley as one of the most recommended professional make-up and hair stylists by married couples. She received several five star reviews on Hitched, making her the winner of the award in her field for the south west.

Hayley said: “I’m absolutely over the moon with this award.

“I’ve been in the industry for 14 years and when the pandemic halted everything, it was really tough.

"Weddings are so rewarding, and when someone chooses me to be a part of their special day, it’s a real honour. The best part is seeing their beautiful photos, seeing two people in love and happy, so getting their glowing feedback is the cherry on the cake.”

Hitched says the award highlights how valued Hayley is in the sector as so many couples she worked with have left her positive feedback, recognising her technical skills, her professionalism and her ability to make everybody feel wonderful on the day.

This year in particular the awards want to recognise businesses and individuals who have gone above and beyond to serve their clients with weddings one of the sectors hit hardest by the pandemic.
